Pratt Hall is the home of Mount Holyoke College's Music Department. Our renovation and expansion of the historic 1908 academic building provides accessibility improvements, comprehensive building systems upgrades, and improvements to performance, academic and administrative spaces to better meet the Department's program needs.

A redesigned entrance preserves the historic character of the neo-gothic portal and provides universal access. An addition connects formerly detached wings and includes a large classroom, studio, office, student lounge and support space. The design addressed the nearby river and wetlands and improved site utilities, which required special environmental review and permitting.

Renovations to Stevens Music and Dance Library reorganized services and provided updated study areas. McCulloch Auditorium was revamped with a new stage, window and acoustic treatments, green room, A/V and support systems. New acoustic isolation and HVAC systems were incorporated in performance rooms, practice rooms, classrooms and offices.
