Classroom Renovations
BOSTON, MA
Creating fresh academic environments that foster interactive learning experiences is a significant goal for Northeastern University. MDS has assisted the University with renovating many classrooms and lecture halls on campus to advance pedagogy, use of technology, and further its academic mission.
Mugar Hall Lecture Hall Renovation
Improvements to the Mugar Hall Lecture Hall consisted of a comprehensive renovation of the 190-seat tiered classroom with new fixed seating, finishes, lighting and MEP/FP upgrades. The project was implemented in a fully-occupied building with minimal impact to university operations and was part of a house doctor contract MDS holds with Northeastern University.
Ryder and Richards Halls Classroom Renovations
Classroom renovations in the historic Ryder and Richards Halls included interior design, furniture, technology infrastructure and accessibility upgrades to various-size flat-floor and tiered teaching facilities. All work has occurred in the midst of fully occupied and operating campus buildings, with careful design, phasing plans and construction coordination with University administration, facilities staff and construction managers to ensure minimum impact on Northeastern operations.
